EMPLOYEES -- NOT SUB-CONTRACTORS: All of our pool and repair
technicians are employed by our company; they are not subcontractors. As a
result, the Deckside team is comprised of competent, knowledgeable and
reliable team members. Before hire, our employees submit to a thorough background check, a credit
check, and driving record check. New hires under-go extensive on-the-job training, and must
demonstrate their competence through performance testing. Continuing education programs help our
employees grow and identify a career path within the company, resulting in
greater employee retention.

VALUE-PRICING: As one of the largest pool maintenance contractors in
Southern California, our buying power allows us to realize excellent cost
savings when purchasing chemicals, parts and equipment. This allows us to
offer you exceptional pricing on scheduled maintenance and repair services.
We purchase all chemicals and parts in bulk then repackage and re-distribute
to our customers to achieve tremendous
savings. For example, we buy our liquid
chlorine by the tanker truck load (5,000
gallons) that is stored and distributed from two
3,000 gallon chlorine tanks. By offering premium level pool services at
a high-value price point, the communities we serve are confident they
are allocating community funds wisely.
TECHNOLOGY: Deckside Pool Service was
recently spotlighted in the November,

2006 issue of
MOBILE ENTERPRISE magazine (pages 32- 34) for our innovative and effective use
of mobile technology in the service field. Our
REPAIR TECHNICIANS utilize
hand-held computers in the field

to receive their daily dispatch, and are connected to
our dispatch center in "real-time". Jobs are prioritized and can be added or modified
at any time. When our repair technicians are on site, they are able to review the
detailed service history for each piece of equipment, and enter his or her service
details while still on the job site, which are then immediately transferred to our
computer database. Our customer service staff has complete access to the data and can report the status of
new, pending or historic repairs at any time.
Our pool
CLEANING TECHNICIANS are paid for TIME IT TAKES TO DO THE JOB, not how
fast the job can be done. They carry company provided cell phones that match GPS tracking and timesheet
software so we can accurately monitor their time on your property. The cleaning tech has on-thespot
access to a member of his support team via walkie-talkie, and he or she can trouble-shoot
problems on the spot. In an emergency, we are one click away from matching the nearest technician to
the trouble spot with the click of a button.
QUALITY CONTROL: Each of our pool service accounts is evaluated monthly by a dedicated route
inspector on fifteen specific criteria. Our inspector grades each technician.s performance, and in the
case of a perfect report card, technicians are rewarded with a
cash bonus. When problems are encountered, however, they
are addressed immediately through continued training and
remediation.

EMERGENCY? We utilize a live 24-hour emergency service
—just call our office 24 hours a day and be connected to a
REAL PERSON at our emergency service. We provide 24-7-
365 emergency services to our contract customers.
